When anyone gets in touch with me to document their family I feel deeply honored. This family was no different, actually it meant even more to me because they are an extension of my own family. You see being apart of the military community means that your family probably is made up of quite a few members that you share no blood with. But trust me when I say that these ties can be some of the strongest ones you ever experience. We spent the morning in a beautiful area at Balboa Park here in San Diego.
When my best friend Char told me she would be visiting from Japan and wanted to arrange some photos with her brother's family who's currently stationed here and their mom who was visiting from Indiana I was so excited. I mean this girl means the world to me, she was an essential part of my family when we lived in Hawaii as we embarked on parenthood, besides my husband and me, she played the biggest part in my girl's lives for the first few years. I had to steal a moment to get at least a quick shot of the two of us.
The Navy plays a huge part in this family, all of them have served or are currently serving. Rob and Char's mom served many years ago and now both of them are proudly representing the chief's mess. Jaimmy's service has changed from military to a whole new level of taking care of people. She has recently completed nursing school and is on her way to big things, I just know it. Little Jax definitely has a lot to be proud of and is surrounded by so much love. Enjoy some of my favorites from their session, it was so much fun to catch up and capture this amazing family.
